Getting started

The desktop app covers every editor on its own. Premium adds two channels you install by hand. This page says exactly what to install, what it costs, and what is still coming.

Runs beside any editor. A shortcut records, transcribes on your machine, and pastes LaTeX at the cursor — so it works with Overleaf, VS Code, Word, anything.

Overleaf plugin

Premium · manual install

Dictation inside Overleaf itself, without leaving the browser. It does not transcribe anything: it asks the desktop app to listen, so speech recognition still runs on your machine. The desktop app is therefore required.

Comes with Premium: you download it from your account and install it by hand. Not in a store yet, so no one-click install and no automatic update.

Dictate straight into the editor: the LaTeX is inserted at your cursor through the editor's own API, and a single Ctrl+Z removes it. Like the Overleaf plugin, it asks the desktop app to listen rather than transcribing anything itself.

Installing the desktop app

Four steps, nothing to copy or paste.

  1. Create an account, then take the trial — 15 dictations for €1.99, once, nothing renews. Without it the app has nothing to spend.
  2. Download the app and run it. Windows will warn you about an unrecognised publisher — the download page explains why.
  3. The app shows a code and opens your browser. Check the code matches, and approve. It connects itself.
  4. Wait while it downloads the speech model, once. Then press Ctrl+Alt+D anywhere and talk.
